Plans are being finalized now to refurbish and restore the facilities of two local organizations in addition to our continuing efforts in Rockford’s Public Schools.

The first organization is MELD.  MELD serves those 21 years of age and younger by offering emergency shelter and housing, support and resources, life and job skills training, parenting information, and prevention education. Visit www.rockfordmeld.org to learn more.

Both the MELD and WAVE facilities need major makeovers and Rockford Sharefest 2009 is on it. Already volunteers and sponsors are saying, “I’m in” to update both locations.
